Choosing two parties instead of one !

We expect the political parties to cooperate for the common weal, but yet we can only choose one of them in the elections. This rule of being able to vote for one party creates a competitive environment.

Parties are in opposition in order to gain our vote. Antagonism creates opposition and opposition propaganda, just because we can only choose one. This is obvious especially during the elections. They cannot cooperate as the system impose parties to fight each other in order to gain our attention and vote.

They end up promise fairylands and spreading rumors against their opponents.

The system till now wants the parties to gain our interest by dividing society. But this is a great paradox and a bug of every running democratic process.

How could we inverse this trend?

The solution to this problem is the ability to choose two parties instead of one.

This system can be called V.T.P. vote two parties.

Synthesis will be urged by the system itself. The combined -dual votes will boost the cooperation.

Every citizen will be able to vote for two different parties of his/her preference and this will be called the combined-dual vote.

The soul of democracy is to combine the interests in a way that people will have prosperity for now and the future. To combine interests we need to have coalitions and this is what this idea, is all about.

Parties will be motivated to make coalitions in the society way before the elections as except the individual vote they will care also about the combined vote.

Dilemmas and discord will shorten in rhetoric, and coalitions will rise from the society.

People will participate with their soul in voting, without being stressed on choosing the lesser of two evils.

The elected first party won’t be able to claim that their voters, exclusively chose their ideas. This will force the first party to enrich their government with ideas of others.

The perception of the parties towards citizens will change as long as their rhetoric.

it would be in their benefit to point out which are their common ideas with the others. Cause depicting some common ideas will produce a gain on combined-dual votes.

Small parties will also be benefited. The citizens we will be able to vote for their fresh and new ideas and at the same time choose and vote a well established party with standard ideas.

The V.T.P. In practice:

Let's try a simple arithmetic example to depict this situation and clarify how it will work,

combined votes will count in the sum up as discrete-individual votes.

for simplicity we have only 2 parties A,B

A takes 10 votes individually

A+B takes 10 votes combined

B takes 5 votes individually

the sum will be for A=20 AND for B=15

let's take a more realistic example with 3 parties A,B,C

A takes 10 votes

B takes 5 votes

C takes 3 votes

A+B takes 7 combined votes

A+C takes 8 combined votes

C+B takes 6 combined votes

the sum will be for A = 10+7+8 =25

for B = 5+7 +6 =18

for C = 3+8+6=17

The sum will show which is the first party and also the suggested political coalitions by the people.

IF People will be allowed to vote for more than one party in the elections there will be many benefits for citizens and democracy.

There will be a great gain in people’s participation as they will vote and have the fulfillment that their will was expressed.

Synthesis will be urged by the system itself.
