Apathy among voters result a low turn out to elections.
We need to bring back people to voting, by giving them hope.
And also making them shareholders of democracy.
The candidates win good salaries, positions money and sometimes connections and fame.
What about citizens?
Should they share some of the money?
A lottery among the voters could be one way to increase their feeling of shareholding democracy.
The first 100 could win 1.000 Euro. This is a good way to bring enthusiasm to voters.
Also in ancient Greece some of the members of the parliament were chosen by Lottery.
I would say a 1% among voters to join the parliament by lottery. Could be one other thought to bring democracy closer to citizens and the feeling of shareholding.
