A proposition in establishing a Candidates Diploma for every candidate that wants to join the parliament. Every job needs a license and a diploma, why not the members of the parliament? Everyone, knows very well his everyday job but how well do we know other fields?
Someone can be a great lawyer, but does he know economics? Someone else maybe great in engineering but is he good in foreign affairs? After the elections or better before, the candidate must be obligated to earn a "Candidates diploma". If we want our democracy to be smart we need to educate our representatives in the parliament. The candidates diploma will contain knowledge of economics, lawmaking, technology, sciences, organizational, administration and also historical issues in depth. We need to build a person with a solid knowledge, in order to take the right decisions. We need someone who is able to interpret the facts and not only trust the experts. This diploma should be useful for the candidate to be prepared for the complexity of the issues that will come during his incumbency. It won't be a pure academic knowledge but a solid experience that will describe how things work together and make the candidate ready for decisions by using facts.
In parallel candidates will become more wholesome towards the society understanding the needs of different fields and sectors.
